Before introducing the following meal, you are giving your body time to completely digest, absorb, and assimilate the nutrients. In yoga, two meals a day are referred to as “Bhogi,” which is Sanskrit for “one who enjoys eating.”

Yoga principles do not allow eating animals as it is violent and secondly meat-eating deters them from reaching deeper states of meditation and has negative impact on the body. On the other side of the table, many feel they do not feel healthy without adding non-vegetarian when they are on the Vegetarian diet.

Yogi has since the 12th century CE also denoted members of the Nath siddha tradition of Hinduism, and in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, a practitioner of tantra. In Hindu mythology, the god Shiva and the goddess Parvati are depicted as an emblematic yogi–yogini pair.

Eating once a day the yogic way involves following certain principles such as consuming sattvic (pure) foods, eating mindfully and slowly, and practicing gratitude for the food. It also emphasizes eating a balanced meal that includes all the essential nutrients and avoiding overeating.
